WHAT WE DO

TAS PROVIDES CHRISTIAN EDUCATION WITH ACADEMIC RIGOR AND EXEMPLARY QUALITY. WE PARTNER WITH PARENTS TO ENSURE THEIR CHILDREN ARE NOT ONLY ACADEMICALLY PREPARED FOR LIFE BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL, BUT ALSO SPIRITUALLY PREPARED FOR ETERNAL LIFE WITH A SOUND BIBLICAL FOUNDATION ROOTED IN TRUTH.

The Academy of Snohomish is a K-12 Christian based school with teacher facilitators in a brick and mortar facility offering an online curriculum in our 3-12 Academy and a more traditional class setting in our K-2 Academy. We provide families with the best of many worlds by combining distance learning, the freedom of homeschool, the structure of classroom routine, creating an environment that promotes productivity and independence. Our abbreviated schedule gives your student the gift of time in their schedule to pursue education and mentoring with other highly qualified providers. It also gives students time to practice, create, and pursue learning beyond the classroom!

Students use Ignitia, a media-rich online Christian curriculum, to log on and do their core classes with the supervision and aid of a qualified teacher facilitator. Ignitia offers the latest digital technology available in the Christian market while holding true to traditional values founded on faith, and prepares students to be successful in a multimedia age. Core classes are held in our facility Monday through Thursday mornings, while Fridays are reserved for grading for teachers and homework for students, school field trips, and personal student time that can be used as the student and parent wishes.

OUR UNIQUE MODEL

The Academy Model is made up of three prongs that must remain strong and all work together in order to support student learning:

  1. The Academy of Snohomish: We provide rigorous academics and teacher facilitators in a highly productive classroom setting to support student learning and progress.

  2. Parents: At home, parents must actively engage in student learning and accountability, while helping students connect and engage with the final and crucial piece of their student's education: Enhanced Education Providers (EEPs). Consistently checking student progress, supporting at home projects, and helping students prepare for unit tests are each essential pieces of the parent's role in our model.

  3. Enhanced Education Providers: We partner with trusted organizations that offer high quality instruction in areas that pique student’s unique interests for education outside of the classroom.

The element of extra time outside the classroom is unique to The Academy Model and is the reason we refer to our model as a three-dimensional educational system, as compared to traditional two-dimensional models that only include classroom learning and homework. We are inspired by the understanding that combining a traditional classroom with homeschool education and partnering with enhanced education organizations uniquely motivates our students to strive for great success in the classroom and beyond.
