HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER

MOONJUNG OOI

My husband David and I have served in Cambodia as missionaries from 2000-2011 and our two children had their early childhood with us living with many of our Cambodian students. The Lord has moved us back to the States and we have been in Seattle since.

I have a B.A in Fine Art, General Sculptural Studies from Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore MD and also have a Master Degree in Intercultural Studies from the seminary at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina.

God called me to homeschool when my first child finished her preschool. The journey that started

with the expectation of just teaching them until the end of their elementary-level education, but it has continued until now.  My first child is in Patrick Henry College studying Government major now and  them until the end of their elementary-level education, but it has continued until now.  My first child is in Patrick Henry College studying Government major now and the second one is now a junior in high school.

I enjoy working with students as I am always reminded of His grace-filled work in their lives.  I always love learning right along with my children and other students. This pursuit led me to study Latin, Debate, Speech, and Entrepreneurship.  I consider it a privilege to continually growing understanding of His world through all education.

I have coached communication through art, speech, and debate, as well as mock trial and the most exciting things are to see His design of His people coming to blossom in our children.

I am thankful to be part of the team at TAS and it is my prayer that our school as a whole will continue to pursue Him and all He desires for
